OVERVIEW OF FTIA
The Florida Telecommunications Industry Association (FTIA), established in 1907, is a trade organization representing the interests of Florida’s telecommunications companies. Member companies include incumbent and competitive local exchange telecommunications services providers, and long distance and wireless providers.
The FTIA currently has 12 members that are telecommunications service providers and approximately 50 member companies who supply goods and services to the telecommunications industry. The Association benefits the industry by fostering communication and cooperation among its members and serves as a unified voice for its members on policy issues.

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

The FTIA is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of at least three (3) but not more than 18 directors elected by the membership.  All categories of members are represented on the Board. FTIA policy is formulated through a standing committee process and, once adopted by the Board, is carried out by the FTIA staff under the leadership of the President.
